Fulham contact Silva about new contract talks
Fulham are moving to open new contract talks with manager Marco Silva.
The Portuguese is attracting interest from bigger clubs and was a target for Nottingham Forest before they turned to free agent Sean Dyche after the dismissal of Ange Postecoglou.
The Athletic says club chiefs have informed Silva, 48, of their wish to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the season.
Although there have not yet been any concrete discussions, there is an optimism on both sides about being able to reach an agreement.
Silva has been on the touchline for the Cottagers since 2021. In his current contract, the Portuguese has an exit clause that is around €17m.
