
France Football has released the full voting results for the 2025 Ballon d’Or, with French forward Ousmane Dembélé finishing first with 1,380 points. Lamine Yamal came second with 1,059 points, while Vitinha secured third place with 703 points.
The Ballon d’Or is voted on by 100 journalists representing the top 100 nations and regions in FIFA’s rankings. Each journalist selects 10 players in order, with the top pick earning 15 points, followed by 12, 10, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 point respectively. The player with the highest total score wins the award. In case of a tie, the number of first-place votes is compared, followed by second-place votes, and so on.
According to the statistics, 73 journalists gave their first-place vote to Dembélé, while only 11 chose Yamal as their top pick.
