BetBlocker strengthens its offer with relevant gambling help resources in 50 countries

Localized in dozens of languages already, BetBlocker seeks to become the world’s defining part of a gambler’s journey, with the charity recently reporting reaching 250,000 active users in 2025, a significant milestone, with activity reporting all over the globe, demonstrating the software’s reach and ongoing momentum.

After announcing its Scheduler function earlier this week, meant to help gamblers control their habits before they reach a crucial point, BetBlocker is now adding its new signposting feature with the launch of its enhanced app dashboard.

The new dashboard includes national gambling support phone numbers, a national gambling self-exclusion register, and a national information resource, with the resource made available for 50 countries.

Commenting on the new feature, Dunca Garvie, BetBlocker Founder and Managing Trustee, had this to add:

"Blocking software is a fantastic tool to support harm minimisation efforts. But it is just one tool, not a complete solution in its own right. Far more significant reductions in harm can be achieved where different types of support are used in conjunction with each other.

The UK has previously led the way in this area with the TalkBanStop campaign. We want to roll out a similar approach to the layering of support in as many countries as possible. So BetBlocker is looking to lead by example, signposting relevant support for our hundreds of thousands of users, wherever appropriate and relevant services exist."

All of this comes as part of the ongoing Safer Gambling Week initiative, which is meant to raise awareness about gambling-related harm and help gamblers stay safe while also exploring resources meant to help them recover from potential addictive and self-destructive behavior.
